Are you new to the area?

If you’re new to the Parish or just visiting us, this is how a normal Sunday works (under normal circumstances).

From 10.30am, we will be glad to welcome you and hand out the Notices, and order of service for the day.
Please sit anywhere in the church, you will be warmly welcomed.
Our services normally begin at 11am, with the notices and then a welcome from the minister.
There is a good blend of both traditional and modern elements in our worship. We sing hymns modern and old, accompanied by our organist.
We read from the New International Version of the Bible and the sermons are normally based on the passages we have been reading from. We make good use of modern technology within The Church of Scotland’s pattern of worship.
Children and young people normally leave for sunday school after around twenty minutes. Creche facilities are always available to allow parents with young children to attend the service.
A collection is normally taken towards the end of the service. During the collection, the minster and congregation are seated. When the Minister stands to receive the offering plates, those who are able stand.
After the blessing, we sing The Amen and stand until the minster leaves the Chancel.
Everyone is welcome to stay after the service and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.
Communion services are usually held on the third Sunday in January, April, June and October and informal communion services at other times during the year.
